VOLUNTEER FAIRFAX PRESENTS VOLUNTEERFEST 2025 30th Annual Day of Service & Community Fair Volunteer Fairfax will host its 30th annual VolunteerFest on Monday, November 3, 2025, bringing together hundreds of community members for a large-scale day of service. This year’s signature project will pack 75,000 nutritious meals for food pantries serving residents across the Greater Washington region. In addition, attendees can visit the Community Fair, featuring local nonprofits and government agencies sharing volunteer opportunities in family services, hunger relief, environmental stewardship, animal welfare, and more. The need is urgent: the Capital Area Food Bank reports that more than one million people in our region face food insecurity, including one in ten children. Volunteer Project: Shift 1, 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM | Shift 2, 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM DETAILS: Registration is required; no walk-ins permitted. We recommend that children be at least 10 years old to fully participate. Ages 5-9 should be able to assist with placing completed meals in the cartons. Anyone under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Attendees are encouraged to fundraise to help cover the cost of meal supplies and bring a non-perishable food donation to help Jam the Trolley with supplies for Food for Others.
