There's something special about fall—and there's no better time to fall in love with a new best friend! Join us for Pohanka Honda's 8th Dog & Cat Adoption Day on Saturday, September 12, from 11:00 AM–2:00 PM at Pohanka Honda in Capitol Heights.
In partnership with Prince George's County Animal Shelter and Brandywine Valley SPCA – Washington, D.C., we're bringing together adoptable dogs and cats of all ages, breeds, sizes, and personalities in hopes of creating more happily-ever-afters. Together, our Adoption Day events have helped more than 328 dogs and cats find their forever homes—and we're ready to help even more find their perfect match!
🐶🐱 What to Expect
❤️ Pohanka Honda will cover all adoption fees during the event!
🐾 Meet adoptable dogs and cats looking for their forever families.
🏡 If you don't find your perfect match at the event, eligible guests can receive a same-day $0 Adoption Fee Voucher to continue their search at Prince George's County Animal Shelter or Brandywine Valley SPCA's D.C. Village location.
☕ Enjoy complimentary treats from Tropical Smoothie and PJ's Coffee, while supplies last.
🦴A special treat for our canine adopters! Every dog adopted during the event will go home with a complimentary bag of homemade dog treats, generously provided by longtime Adoption Day supporter Pawfectly Delicious Dog Treats.

📝 Welcome & Registration
All guests must stop by the Welcome & Registration Table upon arrival. Our team will get you registered, help you navigate the event, and answer any questions you may have so you can get started on your Adoption Day experience.
🚗 Parking
Onsite parking staff will be available to help direct attendees to available parking spaces upon arrival. Please follow their instructions to help keep traffic moving safely and smoothly.
