Summer SOULstice ft. Jarreau Williams, Kemi Adegoroye, and Cecily
Soul is returning to the stage as Pearl Street Warehouse hosts a comeback of live R&B music featuring three artists from the DMV. Jarreau Williams and Kemi Adegoroye will be co-producing the “Summer SOULstice” show on July 11th adding multi-award winning songstress Cecily to the bill.
A native of Alexandria and five-time Wammie Award winner, Jarreau Williams has been performing at concerts, festivals, weddings, and corporate events across the DMV with his band JWX: The Jarreau Williams Experience since 2016. He is a charismatic front-man who brings high-energy, soul, funk, humor and a special form of kindness to every performance.
Kemi Adegoroye has made a name for herself in the DMV as a show-stopping, dynamic vocalist. Performing as a soul and jazz-inspired solo act, and as the frontwoman of R&B/jazz band Terra Firma, she commands the stage with versatile vocals and vivid storytelling.
Cecily, a multi award-winning vocalist, is well known for her agile soprano and honest lyrics. Her sound, as soothing as it is rich, is rooted in a deep appreciation for mid-century soul and jazz, 90’s R&B, and re-imagined folk music.
All three artists offer a touch of futuristic nostalgia; reminiscent of the days in the backseat of your parents car, memories with your first love, or laughing about the good times at your best friend’s house party. This is a can’t miss performance in the DMV’s Summer of Soul!
