Town Hall: Amazon Data Center / Dominion Transmission Lines
Amazon is asking the Town of Warrenton for a special use permit to build a data center on Blackwell Rd., behind Country Chevrolet (near the Sheetz and Giant). If approved by the Town Council, the data center will require a new electrical substation in Warrenton and a massive 230-kV transmission line, to be built by Dominion Energy at ratepayer expense.
The Piedmont Environmental Council, Protect Fauquier and Citizens for Fauquier County are hosting a town hall-style forum with the local community on Wednesday, August 10 from 7-9 p.m. The location will be the PATH Foundation building at 321 Walker Drive. We hope you'll join us!
