Toast of Oakton Toastmasters Aloha Open House (Hybrid)
The Toast of Oakton Toastmasters Club invite you to an evening of Hawaiian themed fun. The Word of the Day is paradise. The open house event is an opportunity to meet the members of the club, experience the Toastmasters meeting format, and see prepared speeches from both a new member and an experience Distinguished Toastmaster. The speech segment will be concluded with Guest Speaker, Dutch Martin, hypnotist and comedian! Impromptu speaking through Table Topics will be available for participants to give a 1–2-minute thought on topics provided by the Table Topics Master which relate to the theme of the meeting. After Table Topics, the General Evaluator will introduce his team of evaluators, the Wizard of 'Ah's and the timer who will evaluate the prepared speeches and provide constructive criticism, and report on the "ums", "ahs, number of times the word of the day was spoken, and other significant points of grammar used throughout the meeting by all speakers.
