On Saturday, March 28, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Alexandrians will line the sidewalks along northbound Route 1 from Powhatan Park to Potomac Yard shopping center in peaceful protest against President Trump’s illegal and authoritarian actions for No Kings 3. The event, hosted by Indivisible Do Something Alexandria, is just one of thousands of events taking place nationwide as part of the third No Kings day of action. The Alexandria protest takes place on sidewalks along this highly traveled, high visibility road.
Volunteers will be stationed at two parks near either end of the route to provide information to rallygoers:
• Neighborhood Park, 2401 Main Line Blvd, Alexandria, VA 22301
• Powhatan Park, 1010 Douglas St. (N. Patrick Street just south of Slater’s)
Make your sign, the make a stand!
No Kings is a nonviolent national day of action and mass mobilization in response to the increasing authoritarian excesses and corruption of the Trump administration. On June 14, more than 5 million people across all 50 states joined No Kings at what was the largest single-day protest of this administration’s authoritarianism. For No Kings 2, on Oct. 18, the number grew to over 7 million people.
No Kings 3 is the next step in this growing movement.
