Join the Del Ray community for First Thursday: Surf’s Up! on Thursday, August 7 from 6pm to dusk along Mount Vernon Avenue, featuring:
-- Live music by The Surf Junkies at Pat Miller Neighborhood Square
-- Hula Hoop and best dressed contest at the Pat Miller Neighborhood Square (7pm!)
-- Summer Scavenger Hunt -- pick up your map at the Pat Miller Neighborhood Square, Stardust Vintage & Gift, OR download at visitdelray.com and score beachy giveaways along the Avenue
-- Chalk art, hula hoops, and crafts with Mulberry Lane
-- Free hot dogs & water from Stardust Vintage & Gift
-- Free popsicles from The Dairy Godmother
-- Stay cool under the Virginia American Water misting tent
This fun event is free and open to all! Participants are encouraged to bring non-perishable food donations for Cook for Vets to help fight veteran food insecurity. Donations can be dropped off at the Pat Miller Neighborhood Square; full list of needed items + details at cookforvets.org.
