Fall Native Plant Sale
Did you know that fall is the best time to plant trees and shrubs and other perennials? A huge selection of native plants will be available from four native plant nurseries: Nature By Design, Hill House Farm & Nursery, Watermark Woods and Seven Bends Nursery. The Sale takes place at the visitor parking lot (access via main entrance on Old Waterford Road) and will be staffed by volunteers knowledgeable about native plants who can advise you on selecting natives for your garden. The Sale provides an opportunity to learn about some of Loudoun Wildlife Conservancy’s programs and how you can volunteer for them. Our Wild Shop will be there with books, T shirts, mugs and raffle ticketsfor the North American Songbirds quilt.
11:00 am presentation: Native Plants for Beginners
This new presentation will include plant suggestions for a variety of settings. We’ll have plants on hand to take a look at, along with photos of mature plants in native garden settings. Then you can look around at what the nurseries have available. Learn more about the talk.
Be sure to stop by our community partners’ booths: Blue Ridge PRISM; The American Chestnut Foundation; Loudoun County Master Gardeners; and, Virginia Master Naturalists.
If you have boxes for carrying your plants, please bring them. If you have extra boxes, bring them for others to use.
