LLI/NOVA Talk on Two Loves of George Washington
The Lifetime Learning Institute of Northern Virginia, https://llinova.org/, an educational group for adults over 50, will hold its next in-person Forum on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, from 9:30 am to 11:00 am at the Little River United Church of Christ, 8410 Little River Turnpike, Annandale, VA. The guest will be Peter R. Henriques, author and expert on President George Washington.
Peter R. Henriques is Professor of History, Emeritus, from George Mason University where he taught American and Virginia history with a special emphasis on the Virginia Founding Fathers. As a George Washington scholar, he has written a number of books and articles on the president, including his most recent George Washington: His Quest for Honor and Fame. Until recently, he was the Scholar in Residence for Mount Vernon’s “Weekend with George Washington,” open to Virginia teachers.
This program is free and open to the public without registration. It is part of LLI/NOVA’s monthly Forum Series held the first Wednesday of each month. Social activities start at 9:30 am and the program begins at 10:00 am. LLI/NOVA also provides more than 130 classes, programs and excursions a year to its members.
