American Daffodil Society Convention & Show
Daffodils signal the true arrival of Spring! Blooming en masse there is little that rivals the spectacle, but get closer and you will see the utter miracle, the vast variety, and sheer beauty of these springtime arrivals. The American Daffodil Society (ADS) offers the opportunity to the general public to capture a glimpse of thousands of blooms during their 70th Anniversary ADS Convention. Visitors are welcome Thursday, April 11 from 2pm-7pm and Friday, April 12 from 9am -7pm to take in a sight they won’t soon forget. The Mid-Atlantic region of the ADS boasts more members than any other Region and has a long history of being home to storied hybridizers, exhibitors, and ADS leaders. Stunning varieties, many centuries old, and others so innovative and new that they have not yet been named will enthrall you. From the popular yellow trumpets to blooms that measures ¼ inch across and colors of pale yellow to white and rose, collections and individual blooms will be exhibited. This will be a show/convention not to be missed. The Society invites the public and ADS members alike to compete in Horticulture, Design, and Photography Divisions. You do not need to be a member to visit on April 11-12 when the show is open to the public. Come, behold, and learn more about these glorious harbingers of spring. Admission is free.
