This documentary film challenges conventional wisdom surrounding charitable organizations, prompting us to question the effectiveness and impact of our giving. The evening will commence with a screening of the documentary, followed by a stimulating discussion led by the George Mason University nonprofit faculty members, Professors Alan Abramson, Stefan Toepler, and Mirae Kim along with one of our renowned Master of Public Administration (MPA) advisory board members, Clifford Yee. Engage with fellow students and alumni as we dissect Dan Pallotta's arguments inside the film and explore their implications on the nonprofit landscape. Local nonprofit practitioners will also be invited to provide a unique opportunity to exchange perspectives and gain insights from professionals actively contributing to the sector.
