Join electrophysiologist Brett Atwater, MD, for an interactive discussion about atrial fibrillation (AFib). Dr. Atwater is Director of Electrophysiology and Electrophysiology Research and D’Aniello Chair of Atrial Fibrillation at Inova. He is board certified in clinical cardiac electrophysiology.
Dr. Atwater sees patients in Inova Arrhythmia’s offices in Fairfax and Lansdowne and is part of the multidisciplinary team at the Inova AFib Center. He is on the medical staff at Inova Alexandria, Fairfax and Loudoun hospitals.
Why it matters: AFib is the most common arrhythmia worldwide. An estimated 5 million Americans are living with the condition, which can lead to blood clots, stroke, heart failure and other heart-related complications.
