Please join these talented middle and high school musicians as they bring to life Johannes BRAHMS' vibrant "Academic Festival Overture" and Jean SIBELIUS' moving "Violin Concerto". The Washington Metropolitan Youth Orchestra (WMYO), under the direction of Music Director Alberto Rodriguez is composed of mostly high schoolers. The Washington Metropolitan Concert Orchestra (WMCO), under Music Director Martin Garfield-Levine, captures passion from middle schoolers.
They perform at the Edison High School at 5801 Franconia Road at 3:30 pm on Sunday May 5th. This Spring Concert concludes their hard work for the school year and features many seniors. THIS IS A FREE CONCERT. PLEASE COME TO SHOW YOUR SUPPORT FOR THESE YOUNG MUSICIANS!

Both WMYO and WMCO are supported by the Washington Metropolitan Philharmonic Association (WMPA) a non-profit which has over 50 years of history of bringing music to the greater Alexandria and metropolitan DC area. The professional and semi-professional philharmonic, WMP will be performing their Season Finale on Friday, May 10th at 7:30 PM at the Geo.
