You may recognize it by our tartan kilts, bagpipe music, and lots of jumping (ideal for those kids who never seem to run out of energy...) In this introduction to Highland dancing, children ages 7 will learn the most famous Scottish dances: the Highland Fling and the Sword Dance. There is a focus on teaching proper foundational technique while maintaining a fun and welcoming atmosphere. Classes meet weekly on Sundays from 4:30-5:30pm from May through August in the heart of Del Ray, in Alexandria...
