2023 Tartan Day DC Symposium
Celebrating the 25th Anniversary of Tartan Day DC, the National Capital Tartan Day Committee invites all interested parties to our annual symposium. This year’s topics will include: the Scottish Government’s new Engagement Plan with the U.S.; how the various clans and family societies across the States celebrate their “Scottishness;” Clan Gregor Society’s efforts to restore a dozen intricately carved gravestones of armored medieval MacGregor chiefs; Scottish influence before and during the American Revolution; and the current trade and economic issues between Scotland and the USA, including the impact of Brexit, inflation and supply chain issues and President Biden’s “Buy American” trade Policy.
