Herndon Woman's Club 66th annual Fashion Show
The Herndon Woman’s Club will hold their 66th annual Fashion Show on Saturday, November 2, at 11:00 am at the Crown Plaza Hotel located at 2200 Centreville Road, Herndon. In addition to an exciting fashion show, the event features a luncheon, fun door prizes and outstanding raffles. This important fundraiser for the organization, will showcase the fashions of Scout and Molly’s from Reston Town Center.
A portion of the proceeds will benefit the non-profit organization, Girls on the Run. Girls on the Run of Northern Virginia (GOTR NOVA) reaches 4,000 girls annually with fun, interactive lessons that teach skills like empathy, communication, positive self-talk, and more, while incorporating joyful movement and running games. Participants gain lifelong confidence to be themselves and navigate any challenge. The fashion show also raises money for the Herndon Woman’s Club to fund its many charitable programs throughout the year.
The HWC has been active in Herndon since its founding in 1939. It is made up of members of the Herndon area who are interested in supporting various causes of the community. It is a branch of the Greater Federation of Woman’s Clubs, “a unifying force, bringing together local women’s clubs member dedicated to strengthening their communities and enhancing the lives of others through volunteer service.”
Their community service programs span different areas like Arts & Culture, Civic Engagement and Outreach, Education and Libraries, Environment, and Health and Wellness.
