"Summer is for the Dogs" art show at Creative Brush in Manassas, 8/8-9/20

Creative Brush Studio/Gallery will be exhibiting their long anticipated Art show, “Summer is for the Dogs”- Art Inspired by the Love of Pets. People’s best friend will be joined with other paintings of pets, inclding cats. Beautiful paintings of summer scenes will bring that special little extra touch. “Summer is for the Dogs” will run from August 8 through September 20, with an opening weekend! The fun starts Friday evening, August 8th from 5:00 to 8:00, continuing to Saturday, August 9th 11:00-5:00, and then Sunday, August 10th, 1:00-5:00. The artwork on display will be by Mary Reilly (founder and owner of Creative Brush), the six resident artists, as well as several of Mary’s adult students, beginner through advanced. Additionally there will be some endearing pieces created by aspiring young artists 12 and under. Although the art exhibit is the main feature of “Summer is for the Dogs” there will also be some very special four-legged guests. On Saturday, Aug. 9th the “Caring Angel Dogs” will be on site to meet and greet you 12:00-4:00. You will love these well-trained therapy dogs who provide endless comfort and love where needed to improve the lives of others. On Sunday, August 10th, 1:00-4:00 the rescue group “Friends of Homeless Animals” (FOHA) will be at Creative Brush with some of their adorable dogs and volunteers ready to meet you. FOHA provides a home and loving care for rescued dogs until a permanent home is found. With paintings showing how the stylistic expression of the artist can capture the personality of a beloved pet, this is a show not to be missed! Creative Brush artists, known for creating some of the finest pet portraits in Northern Virginia, are located at 8951 Center Street Manassas with parking on-site.
