Communities for Youth -Free Concert for Teen Students- at the Chinn Center on June 12, 2026 from 4-7
Our free student event on June 12 from 4-7pm at the Chinn Center is going to kick off summer while showing students their community! We want to show students the local businesses and community members that support students coming together. We are currently sponsored by over 9 local businesses and organizations.
Supported by our sponsors, we'll have a free event for high school and college students with live bands from Colgan high school, food trucks from the community, games like volleyball and giant Jenga, and over $200 in raffles. Additionally, we'll be hosting tables for local organizations. One of our tables will be the PWC Gov. table in part sponsored by PWC Supervisor Kenny Boddye.
We're expecting 300 students from local high schools and colleges to attend our free event. After our first "pilot" event, we'd love to teach upcoming students how to host these free events in the coming school year. This project's goal is not only to build community, it is a beacon to local elected officials that teens need safe spaces to socialize.
