Exhibit Summary
Step into the cult classic fan world with John Greenwood’s exhibit “Cult Classics: Minimalist Art for the Avid Fan” on display at the ARTfactory September 18-October 6. We all have our favorite fandoms: favorite movies, TV shows, sports, bands, etc. Graphic designer John Greenwood has always struggled to find artwork featuring his favorite fandoms that does not feel “cartoonish” or overly mass-produced. Instead, Greenwood creates graphic designs that stimulate his (somewhat) grown-up taste and excite his inner child-like wonder. His designs reflect both the fandom he loves, and the minimalist style that he cultivates. Greenwood’s clean designs and use of eye-catching color bring our favorite fandoms to life in a way never seen before.
