Gallery opening during the Workhouse second Saturday artwork with live music, community market, snacks.
About the exhibit: Springing from a strong connection to and concern for the natural world, A walk by a river explores how we benefit from a clean and abundant natural environment. The nymphs personify the protecting environments sheltering us using images of the natural world and the scraps of mundane daily living. Layers of imagery from a range of rivers, across continents and media evoke an experience of wandering through nature as translated through a sketchbook.
