Celebrate Birds - Bird Walk at Algonkian Park
Join the Virginia Society of Ornithology and Loudoun Wildlife Conservancy for a field trip, led by Patrick Lewis and Phil Kenny, which will last about four hours. Algonkian is Loudoun’s top birding hotspot and during peak migration can yield well over 60 species, including over a dozen warblers. Trip leaders will be there by 7:30; early arrival is encouraged! Be prepared for possible muddy conditions. We plan to cover the wooded Waterpark area and the Woodland Trail, walking up to 4 miles in total.
