Historic Sydenstricker Schoolhouse - OPEN HOUSE
Join us at our next monthly OPEN HOUSE, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, March 7th, for a special exhibit: “Memories of the Orange and Alexandria Railroad.” This series of posters explores the construction, operation, and present-day relics of the O&A, which literally put communities like Burke and Springfield on the map. And what could be more appropriate and exciting that seeing a model train or two running on a layout in the Schoolhouse! Under the supervision of the Schoolhouse engineer, you could blow the whistle and operate the train as it works the layout. And for the younger visitors we will have a wooden train that they can push along a layout all their own. “ALL ABOARD!!”
