"Scenes in the City" Plein Air Event
Celebrate the arrival of autumn at the 2026 Falls Church Arts Scenes in the City Plein Air Festival on Saturday, September 26 beginning at 9 a.m. with a lively morning of art and community on the grounds of Falls Church City Hall. The festival concludes three weeks of painting “en plein air," (outdoors,) in the historical surroundings of the Falls Church. Paintings entered into the festival competition will be judged and an awards ceremony will be held at noon.
Visitors to the event can vote for the People’s Choice Award, meet participating artists, and purchase original artwork to take home the same day. Rain date: October 3.
