CASA is pleased to announce a free tax preparation service in collaboration with the IRS’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program, designed to provide assistance to individuals and families with a household income of less than $64,000. All eligible community members are invited to receive professional assistance in preparing their taxes at no cost by signing up for an appointment at https://wearecasa.org/taxes-woodbridge/
Services Offered:
Free tax preparation by certified VITA volunteers
Assistance with federal and state tax returns
Guidance on various tax credits and deductions
Assistance with proof of foreign status and ITIN (Individual Taxpayer Identification Number) applications and renewals
To Receive Assistance, Participants Must Bring:
Proof of Identification (Photo ID)
Original Social Security Cards of the taxpayer, spouse, and dependents (if applicable)
Original ITIN Letter (if applicable)
Proof of foreign status, if applying or renewing ITIN
Wage and earning statements (W-2, W-2G, 1099-R, 1099-Misc)
Interest and dividend statements from banks (Forms 1099)
