RCA Capital Region Presents “Women & Substance Abuse” Forum
In honor of Women’s History Month, the RCA Capital Region staff presents, “Women & Substance Abuse”, a forum that will focus on substance use disorder (SUD) among women. The event will be held onsite at RCA Capital Region (11100 Billingsley Rd Waldorf, MD 20602) on Monday, March 25 beginning at 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. ET.
Fredericka Ford, CEO of Capital Region, will be the host and she will be joined by RCA Capital Region addiction specialists, Dr. Carolyn Thangawng, medical director, and Dr. Yvonne Washington-Turay, nurse practitioner.
Attendees will have an opportunity to learn about SUD and participate in an engaging discussion that addresses mothers of children in addiction; pregnancy and maternal health during addiction; and women’s support systems.
