What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition?
Let loose at night! Busy days? Unlike other pottery studios, Cafe Pottery provides only one or two person lessons so you get the most out of your experience. During the class I demonstrate making a bowl and walk you through making two of your own.
Do you provide any materials? What should your students expect to bring?
We walk you through the entire process of pottery making. Teaching technical terms and technique. All you need to bring is yourself. We provide everything else.
What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
It’s hard being a potter and making a living doing what you love. Cafe Pottery aims to provide a great experience for local communities while also employing clay lovers who are having a hard time making it on their own. Now more than ever we are needing to support local artists and buying local.Â
What do you love most about your job?
I love ceramics. Since the year 2000 when I took my first ceramics class in high school, I was hooked. Now, I enjoy sharing my passion with anyone willing to learn; children, adults, developmentally disabled… Even 2 year olds! I love seeing people create their first pots with me.
