These groups of men were called the Continental Congress and under them, we declared our independence from Great Britain. Many famous historical figures were part of this group, George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin, John Adams the men we would eventually recognize as our Founding Fathers. But what were the Founding Father's doing when they were not declaring independence, fighting for our freedom and creating a nation?
