Remarkable Presence Pop-Up Suitcase Workshop
In this workshop, we’ll use small, paper suitcases from Jen Urso’s Remarkable Presence art installation to create meaningful, celebratory objects to honor someone we’ve lost or to simply honor those in our community lost to COVID. You’ll learn basic pop-up techniques that you can embellish to fit inside your paper suitcase. When opened, they’ll become a symbol of the expansiveness and reach that every life has.
Learning these basic pop-up skills will also allow you to create fun cards, decorations and maybe even your own pop-up book.
Included Materials: Remarkable Presence suitcase, index cards, Elmer’s glue (or something equivalent but NOT a glue stick), scissors. Optional: ruler, stencils, #11 Xacto knife, colored markers, pens or pencils
