Oscar-nominated cult actress Susan Tyrell (Forbidden Zone) delivers a deliriously unhinged performance that redefines the term “over the top” in this outlandish ‘80s slasher flick mixing camp, gore and genuine nuttiness turned up to “11!” After his parents are killed in a most shocking manner, little Billy is raised by his over-protective Aunt Cheryl (Tyrell). Fourteen years later, little Billy (now played by Jimmy McNichol, feather-haired ‘70s TV teen heartthrob) is a big boy basketball star about to graduate high school. Unfortunately, the thought of losing her precious Billy forces Cheryl’s hidden homicidal tendencies to rise to the surface, and she’ll do anything to keep him from leaving home, even if that means having to kill everyone in sight to do it! Or is someone else really the killer? Throw in a homophobic police detective (Bo Svenson, Walking Tall Part 2) hell bent on framing Billy for murdering a TV repairman in a supposedly homosexual love triangle (what????), a sneering high school bully with an axe to grind with poor Billy (played by a young Bill Paxton) and more shocking revelations, incestuous fantasies, gooey gore splatter and bizarre plot twists that you can shake a bloody meat cleaver at! Watch in awe as Tyrell’s pedal-to-the-metal psycho aunt oozes incestuous lust for her dorky nephew and flirts like a schoolgirl before degenerating into full-on crazy pants mode, complete with neck-jutting, eye-bulging and incoherent-grunting that makes her resemble a murderous E.T. – waddle, waddle, stab, stab! A depraved delight that spirals out of control in ways you always HOPE movies like this will spiral out of control, this is a real is a real horror hoot from the director of Beach Blanket Bingo!
