Saint Philips Sings: An English Easter
All are invited to a festival of lush English music for strings including two works by beloved 20th-century English masters: Gerald Finzi’s achingly beautiful cantata, Dies Natalis (‘Birthday’), and Vaughan William’s pastorale concerto for violin and strings orchestra, The Lark Ascending, in a new chamber version. The program also includes the stunningly warm and sensuous cantata by Patrick Hawes, the Song of Songs. This is a free concert; any donations will support the music ministry of Saint Philip’s.
