The OPP Festival features staged readings of 11 original works—some short; most full-length—by ten (10) Tucson-area playwrights over two weekends in April. There are dozens of great roles for actors of any age, color, gender, or experience. Actors receive a small honorarium and must attend at least one rehearsal. Plays are performed just once, script in hand, with minimal blocking, props, set pieces, and lighting, followed by post-performance talkbacks. Auditioning actors are asked to perform/read their own one-minute monologue AND read a particular role from a Festival script. No appointment necessary; resume and/or headshot welcome but not essential. NOTE: A second Audition will be held...
