Marguerite Ough and Larry Day Memorial Voice Competition
The Marguerite Ough and Larry Day Memorial Voice Competition celebrates outstanding University of Arizona singers while honoring two influential teachers and artists. Ough, a longtime UA faculty member and devoted voice teacher, inspired a scholarship supporting graduate women studying voice. Day, professor emeritus of voice and opera theater, shared his expertise through decades of teaching, performing and directing. Their legacies continue through the students who take the stage in this annual competition.
