State Bicycle Co. presents an evening introduction to track cycling and to Arizona's
only Olympic-style velodrome. Join Bicycle Ranch Tucson and the Tucson Velodrome to
learn what track cycling is, how a track bike differs from a road bike, what it takes
to get on the track, and how riders of every level can get started.
FREE INSTRUCTION AND RIDE FOR EVERY SIGNED-IN ATTENDEE, COURTESY OF STATE BICYCLE CO.
As presenting sponsor, State Bicycle Co. is covering the next step for everyone who
comes out for the event on July 30. Every attendee can reserve a free Introduction to
the Velodrome session at the track -- normally $40, with a rental track bike included --
with the registration fee paid in full by State Bicycle Co. It's a no-cost, no-bike-
needed way to go from curious to riding on the Tucson Velodrome.
Session registrations are limited for safety and one-on-one coaching, so spots are
reserved in advance. The first two dates, at the Tucson Velodrome (11800 S. Harrison
Rd., Tucson, AZ 85747):
* Saturday, August 8, 2026, 7:00-9:00 p.m.
* Saturday, August 15, 2026, 7:00-9:00 p.m.
More dates will be added as these fill, so everyone who wants to get instruction and
ride gets a spot. You must attend and sign in at the July 30 event to register for your
free session.
The Tucson Velodrome is a 250-meter, 42-degree-banked aluminum track designed by
Peter Junek, located adjacent to Musselman Honda Circuit and near the Pima County
Fairgrounds. It is the first velodrome in the world to feature an aluminum surface.
Come for the information, stay for the inspiration. Whether you're curious about the
sport, looking to try something new, or ready to certify and ride, this is the place
to start.
