AET Presents the Iconic Musical “The Rocky Horror Show”

“Let’s do the Time Warp!” at the wildly popular, cult classic musical,“The Rocky Horror Show.” Celebrating the 50th anniversary of the famed film starring Tim Curry and Susan Sarandon, we couldn’t pass up the chance to bring this iconic, gothic, B-movie style musical theatre hit to life onstage just in time for spooky season! With a rotating cast of local celebrities, including Matt and Randi Gentry and Leslie Lois from “The Drive,” Juan Aguirre and Matthew Holter from “The 4 Gents,” Charlie Hall, Edmund Marquez, and more, leave the kids at home and expect plenty of audience interaction with this fully live production, including a live rock-n-roll band, running at Arts Express Theatre September 12-October 5. Performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 7 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday Matinees at 2 p.m. A satirical and edgy homage to the classic sci-fi and horror B-movies of the 20th century, “The Rocky Horror” show centers around naïve lovers Brad (Rafael Acuña) and Janet (Abbi Rye). Traveling through the dark and stormy countryside, when Brad and Janet’s car breaks down, they seek help at the nearest home, the ominous castle of Dr. Frank-N-Furter (Jordan Ross). Frank and his motley crew evade requests for help and instead offer to let the wayward couple spend the night at the castle. As the night becomes stranger than fiction, Brad and Janet slowly lose their inhibitions and are introduced to Dr. Frank’s latest creation, the paragon Rocky (William T. Olsen). As Brad and Janet embark on this wild ride, expect plenty of audience sass, props and participation, a little bit of horror mixed in with camp, and an unforgettable night of live theatre.
