Able and Ready Exchange Club Informational Meeting
The Exchange Club of Monroe is seeking community members to join a new service club dedicated to including individuals with developmental disabilities in its leadership and activities. This club will be part of the National Exchange Clubs and will support three main programs: Americanism, Community Service, and Youth Programs. Additionally, the Exchange Club’s National Project focuses on the prevention of child abuse.
The proposed club will initially be called “Able and Ready,” a name that has been successfully used in other communities. The club members can decide to change the name at the time of its Charter, which is targeted for next spring. The Monroe Club will be the first of its kind in Michigan. The club will be sponsored by the Exchange Club of Monroe.
You are invited to attend an informational meeting about the Able and Ready club on November 12th at 6 PM. The meeting will take place in the Michael Newman Community Room at the Monroe Community Credit Union campus, located at 715 N. Telegraph Rd. The meeting will last approximately one hour. Please feel free to share this flyer with families, and post it on your website or Facebook page. Our goal for this meeting is to share information about Exchange and the volunteerism taking place with other Able and Ready clubs, as well as to discuss potential partners in this endeavor.
