BrightView Health Toledo Addiction Treatment Center in Maumee Celebrates Recovery

BrightView Health Addiction Treatment Center is observing National Recovery Month by inviting the community to learn more about outpatient addiction treatment in Maumee. The open house will take place on Wednesday, September 18th from 11 am – 2 pm. Located at 1655 Holland Rd., Ste F, Maumee. “The month of September allows the BrightView team to shed light on recovery and educate the community regarding this public health issue,” said Chelsae King, community outreach manager. “BrightView’s team is here to help bring the highest quality medical care available because preventing an overdose death is a top priority and we must continue to educate and raise awareness regarding substance use disorder (SUD) commonly known as addiction.” National Recovery Month, an annual observance in September, offers BrightView Addiction Treatment Center in Maumee an opportunity for a friendly community gathering to celebrate recovery, enjoy free food, raffles, activities, provide tours of the center, and celebrate success stories. The BrightView team will present the Champions of Recovery Award to people who have gone the distance in their own recovery journey as well as helping others succeed in the pursuit of sobriety. The recipients of today’s awards will be available for interviews during the open house. The Northwest Ohio Syringe Services (NOSS) from Lucas County Health Dept., will also be attending today’s open house and offering complimentary health testing, Narcan and test strips. There will be opportunities to talk with Chelsae King, community outreach manager about a wide range of issues, including: • What is “effective” addiction treatment? • What patients think is crucial to successful recovery. • How stigma affects people with substance use disorder (SUD) and how to make positive changes. BrightView services are easy to access and available to hundreds of area residents. The center accepts walk-ins until 3 pm weekdays and offers same day appointments. People or families seeking help can call BrightView at 833-510-HELP (4357) 24-hours a day, seven days a week, or schedule an appointment online at brightviewhealth.com. For patients in withdrawal, it takes less than 4 hours from the time they walk through the door to receive stabilizing medication, complete their first counseling session, and begin lasting recovery.
