This class focuses on beginners in the illustrious art of Acting. Here you will learn interactive exercises to build and increase your self-confidence and your inherent skills, which are also used in everyday in the real World, and apply them effectively in your acting craft.
During this class, the instructor will utilize script exercises, scene study, and improvisational techniques. You will learn the basics of how to create a foundation for yourself as an actor as well as learning from the other actors around you. This class with help you to recognize and rediscover the creative artist within yourself.
Meet the Instructor:
Joey Perillo is a veteran character actor and Teen and Adult acting instructor who has worked and taught in Philadelphia, Princeton, New York and LA for more than 30 years. Joey has appeared as a principal (speaking) actor in virtually every theatrical medium including 14 major motion pictures such as 'Philadelphia,' '12 Monkeys,' Rachel Getting Married, ' 'The Negotiator,' 'The Manchurian Candidate,'....and the original (and best) 'Hairspray.'
Joey has appeared as a principal on several TV shows: 'ER,' 'Hack,' 'Homicide,' 'The Wire,' and an obscure HBO series, 'The Sopranos.' Joey is a long time member of the Screen Actors Guild-AFTRA and the Actors Equity Association.

*Acting Classes at Wickline are designed for a maximum enrollment of up to 8 students.
This allows students to receive necessary on-camera experience each week.
