In its 39th year, Tampa Museum of Art’s beloved annual gala celebrates our commitment to the Tampa Bay Region as we serve as the foundation of arts and culture and build connections for the future, fulfilling our mission to educate, engage, and inspire our residents and visitors.
This distinguished affair raises funds and awareness of Tampa Museum of Art’s commitment to make art more accessible to all, ensuring our reach extends to every corner of our community, particularly those in need. The proceeds will further fuel the Museum’s dedicated outreach initiatives, designed to ignite the spark of creativity in everyone, including 12,000 K-12 students who tour the museum each year as well as thousands who are able to participate in art camps, classes, and experiences because of this funding.
Join us for this grand tradition and celebration of the Tampa Museum of Art’s innovative art education endeavors that serve our diverse community.
This year’s Pavilion theme, Foundations: Building Connections, draws deep inspiration from the founding of our museum in 1920 and the European Bauhaus movement founded the year before on the belief that human connection and unity happens through art and design. At this junction, 105 years since the founding of the Tampa Museum of Art, Pavilion XXXIX: Foundations: Building Connections asks us to consider how our expansive and embracing architecture, art, and human relationships intersect with one another, just as the Bauhaus artist Josef Albers’ “Homage to the Square” series combines the simplest fields of colors, thoughtfully overlayed and profoundly creating lasting impacts. As stated by the artist, “Art is not an object, it is an experience.”
Let us together create the new building of the future, which will be everything in one form: architecture and sculpture and painting.
