May 15-16, Art2Action presents a moving and urgent story of migration at Stageworks Theatre with the premiere of "Until Love Makes Us / Que el amor nos haga," a new play written and directed by Dora Arreola, based on the stories of women and LGBTQ+ asylum seekers from Latin America. The play tells the story of three women—a queer “Dreamer” (DACA recipient), and two separated lovers from Mexico, forced to flee, who hope to reunite in the United States. In their harrowing journeys, they encounter danger, interrogation, and a flock of unlikely guides. Presented in Spanish with English supertitles, Until Love Makes Us / Que el amor nos haga is a bilingual theatre performance featuring live music, dance, and video projections.
