Unimos Festival
Stageworks Theatre’s Unimos Festival. Named after the Spanish word unimos “we unite” or “we bring together” the festival serves as a vibrant gathering place where artists, audiences, and the community come together to celebrate the rich cultural traditions and contemporary voices that shape the region. Presented before Hispanic Heritage Month, the festival showcases the incredible diversity of Tampa Bay’s Hispanic and Latin artistic community through live theater, music, dance, spoken word, visual arts, and cultural experiences. In addition to performances, Unimos features local artisans, cultural organizations, and vendors, creating an immersive experience that highlights the flavors, creativity, and traditions of Latin America and the Hispanic diaspora.
As the festival enters its second year, Unimos continues to build upon Stageworks Theatre’s longstanding commitment to amplifying Hispanic and Latin voices on stage and throughout the community. The festival provides a platform for emerging and established artists alike while fostering meaningful cultural exchange and expanding access to the arts for audiences of all backgrounds.
More than a festival, Unimos is a celebration of identity, storytelling, and community, demonstrating that the arts have the power to unite people across cultures while honoring the unique histories and contributions of Hispanic and Latin communities throughout Tampa Bay.
