Academy Prep Center of St. Petersburg's Breakfast for Scholars presented by Duke Energy
Join us for an inspiring morning at Academy Prep Center of St. Petersburg’s annual Breakfast for Scholars, a signature community fundraiser dedicated to empowering promising, hardworking scholars through tuition-free, rigorous middle school education and ongoing graduate support.
This year’s program will feature an engaging conversation with Academy Prep alumni who will share their personal journeys from middle school through high school, college, and beyond, including triumphs, challenges, and the mentors who made a difference. We are honored to welcome Dr. Jasmine Cohen, Academy Prep’s first graduate to earn a Ph.D., as our guest speaker. Dr. Cohen’s story exemplifies the transformative power of opportunity, education, and community support.
The morning will be emceed by Mark Wilson, award-winning anchor from FOX 13 Tampa Bay, who will guide guests through an uplifting program of student stories, alumni perspectives, and a vision for the future of Academy Prep scholars.

Our mission is to prepare these promising, hardworking young people to become future community leaders through a demanding academic program coupled with ongoing graduate support. Scholars attend school 11 hours a day, 6 days a week, 11 months a year, and remain connected to Academy Prep through high school, college, and into their careers.
