Exhibition: Res.... Stract: Abstract Resin Art by Kathy Primm
Kathy Primm describes her art as "Res"….'Stract", abstract pieces that combine resin with several mediums, such as acrylic flow, alcohol ink, and mica powders. As a contemporary abstract artist, she loves bold colors and movement in her pieces.
"I was taken by how much movement each medium created in different ways," she says. However, it still was not enough. I wanted the piece itself to have movement beyond the canvas." After trial and error of different products and finding the perfect "canvas", her "Res…. Stract" Contemporary Collection was formed.
See Kathy Primm's exhibition, "Res…. Stract" on display at St. Pete ArtWorks August 6 through September 1, 2024. A reception will be held August 10 from 5 to 9 pm during St. Pete's Second Saturday Art Walk, featuring live music by blues singer and guitarist, Michael May James starting at 6 pm.
