𝗜𝗻 𝗮 𝘀𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗲𝘁𝘆 𝗱𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘆 𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗲 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰𝘀 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝗺𝗲𝗻 𝘄𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝟳𝟱% 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝗟𝗟 𝗕𝗿𝗼𝗮𝗱𝘄𝗮𝘆-𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗲𝗱 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘆𝘀, 𝗙𝗿𝗮𝗻 𝗣𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗲'𝘀 𝗴𝗼𝗮𝗹 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗳𝘆 𝘄𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻'𝘀 𝘃𝗼𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘄𝗰𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀 𝘄𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗻 𝗯𝘆 𝘄𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻. Powerstories celebrates eleven novice to accomplished female playwrights in the Voices of Women Theatre Festival in March. The festival was first conceived to connect with its community during the continued pandemic in 2021. It was so well-received globally that it became part of the theatre's regular season. In the last quarter of 2023, the festival committee read through 50 plays submitted from throughout the globe to determine the fourth annual festival lineup. After a stringent evaluation process, several plays were chosen, and the committee members championed the productions they felt best met the theatre's 2024 theme of "Critical Issues Take Center Stage." In the end, eleven diverse plays from playwrights of all ages and experience levels were selected. The special event will provide appetizers and camaraderie to launch its fourth annual Voices of Women event and the debut of the 10-minute short plays that evening.
