Would you like to be a Palm Harbor Maven? If you have questions about Palm Harbor and would like to know more about its history and home-grown stories & mysteries, you won't want to miss Palm Harbor Museum Presents with Palm Harbor Historical Society and Museum President, Bob Fortner with Palm Harbor—History And Mystery on Wed., October 1, at 6:30 PM. This program takes place in the Palm Harbor Library Community Room. All are welcome at no charge, and no RSVP is necessary.
Just where and what IS Palm Harbor? Where is City Hall? Is it in that strange building on the corner of Belcher and Curlew Roads? How did Curlew Road get its name? Was John Curlew the first Mayor, and who is Mayor now?? Join Palm Harbor Museum & Historical Society President Bob Fortner as he answers these and other questions, sharing historical facts and fiction as well as some tales that are a bit of both. You will also get a “teaser” look into the museum as we try to lure you in for a closer look. You're guaranteed to walk away from this program a Palm Harbor Maven!
There is plenty of free parking at Palm Harbor Library (2330 Nebraska Avenue) between US 19 and Belcher on Nebraska Ave (next door to Sprouts). This program takes place in the Community Room (first door on the right at entrance). All ages are welcome. The library is handicapped accessible.
