DIY: Make Your Own Brushes! (used for a variety of art mediums)
Brushmaking with David Gamble
Make your own brushes in this 3-hour workshop!
David Gamble has been making brushes with workshop participants for decades using it to start his classes at Penland – Arrowmont – and other teaching facilities around the country.
You will be using Squirrel and Deer Tails for the brush hairs and cutting/drilling pieces of bamboo to create the handles.
Brushes are such an important and essential tool in glazing and painting on ceramics as well as other mediums.
This Workshop is happening in conjunction with the Florida Art Education Association Conference in St. Petersburg, Florida October 16-29. We look forward to welcoming many of our amazing Art Educators state-wide!
