The Black and Brown Book Bazaar (B4)

This dynamic event celebrates the diversity of voices in literature, highlighting the contributions of local and statewide Black and Brown authors. Many Black and Brown authors face barriers to visibility and recognition within the publishing industry. By highlighting these independent authors’ contributions and showcasing their work, we amplify their voices and ensure that their stories reach a wider audience. B4 also aims to empower aspiring writers from these communities to pursue their own creative endeavors. At B4, attendees can expect a wide array of literary works spanning various genres. Lovers of mystery, short fiction, journaling, affirmations, children’s stories, and more will enjoy the books our authors will exhibit. The Black and Brown Book Bazaar aims to provide a platform for underrepresented voices, fostering connections between authors, readers, and the community. In addition to browsing books, attendees can participate in engaging discussions with the authors, listen in to author readings, ask those burning writing questions during the author panel Q&A, get tips during the book marketing workshop, and connect with fellow book lovers.
