The symposium is highlighted by two expert and engaging keynote speakers.
James Stevenson from IFAS/UF will explore local ecosystems and how we can curate our own landscapes using native plants
Dr. Jaret Daniels, director of the McGuire Center for Lepidoptera and Entomology at the Florida Museum of Natural History, will speak on butterflies, arguably the most charismatic and popular insects on earth and how these “gateway” bugs help connect people to nature.
Participants will also enjoy a breakout session, a docent tour of native p,ants, and a picnic lunch in the gardens.
All presentations are indoors except for the guided walk in the natural area.
