A heartwarming bilingual adventure!
Join us for La Maleta de Maebelle (Maebelle’s Suitcase) — a live theatrical adaptation of a beloved Reading Rainbow picture book, presented by the Bill Edwards Foundation for the Arts as part of our Class Acts youth education series.
Meet Maebelle, an extraordinary hat maker who lives in her cozy treehouse. As she prepares for her town’s annual hat contest, she befriends Binkle, a bird struggling to carry too much on his journey south for the winter. When Maebelle offers her cherished suitcase — a memento from her own migration from Colombia — the two discover powerful lessons about generosity, memory, and the freedom that comes with letting go.
