George Washington's DAR Colonial Birthday Ball
This is a Fundraiser event. Monies raised go towards Scholarships to each Public high school and one Women in the Trades here in Citrus County. Monies raised also go towards the DAR America 250! Patriot Marker to raise public awareness for the men and women that achieved American Independance. This marker will be placed in the Military Service Memorial in Inverness. This event is open to the public, Sons and Daughters of the American Revolution. The dress is Formal or Colonial Dress for the SAR/DAR that may own one! There will be a short DAR Ritual that includes the Withlacoochee SAR Color Guard before dinner. George and Martha Washington will tell you of their "Love Story" after dinner and before dancing. Come out and support Fort Cooper Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution. We are a local chapter located here in Citrus County and we have done many things to support our Veterans and this community since our chapter formed in 2007.
