Holiday Tree Display & Auction

The Holiday Trees Display & Auction is a fundraiser for the Carrollwood Cultural Center. Visitors can view and bid on a variety of themed holiday trees displayed in our lobby. Proceeds benefit our Tom Jones Tuition Assistance Fund, which provides families in need of financial assistance with the opportunity to send their child(ren) to Summer Camp for free or reduced tuition. Like most cherished holiday activities, this tradition began several years ago with the help of community members Shirley Overton and Denise Deneen, who introduced us to their creation, The Holiday Tree Project, to assist the Center in raising money. The idea is simple: collect a few artificial Christmas trees and decorate them with a unique theme to be auctioned off during a silent auction. Visit our beautifully decorated lobby during the weeks of the silent auction to view this unique exhibit for the community to enjoy. In mid-December, the auction winners will take home their tree, all the decorations, and any goodies under the tree. The Holiday Tree Display & Auction helps us raise approximately 25% of our total fundraising goal, which enables us to provide tuition assistance to qualified camp families.
